Attics & Crawl Spaces
Project Single Image

About This Project

A Bethel Park homeowner noticed dark staining on their attic sheathing during a routine check. Poor attic ventilation and bathroom exhaust fans venting into the attic space had created ideal conditions for mold growth across the entire roof deck.

Our Approach

Our team set up full containment in the attic space, used chemical and eco-friendly stripping agents to remove mold from the wood sheathing, and applied a preventative antimicrobial coating. We also rerouted bathroom exhaust fans to vent outside.

  • Chemical and eco-friendly stripping agents
  • Antimicrobial treatment and encapsulation
  • Exhaust fan rerouting to exterior
  • Attic ventilation improvement recommendations

Results

Post-treatment testing confirmed all mold was eliminated. The improved ventilation and proper exhaust routing will prevent future issues. The homeowner avoided a costly roof deck replacement.

"I had no idea my bathroom fans were causing mold in my attic. Pure Air Nation fixed the mold and the root cause. Highly recommend."
